NBA All Star Weekend runs February 12 through the 14th.  This year, the event is hosted in Toronto, Canada, and is the first time the event will be hosted outside of the United States.  All Star Weekend has been an exhibition event going on for 65 years, showing off players that have been voted by both the fans and coaches.

A series of events lead up to the All Star Game, where the two teams will face off.  The teams are determined by the best players of the Eastern Conference and the best players of the Western Conference.  Many of the players are returning for another year at the NBA event, such as Kobe Bryant for his eighteenth year, and Lebron James for his twelfth year.

Yet, other events that happen before the game, including the NBA All-Star Celebrity Weekend, which this year is Team USA vs. Team Canada.  Celebrities that will be a part of this on the Team USA are Anthony Anderson and Nick Cannon, being coached by comedian Kevin Hart.  Team Canada includes Milos Raonic and Win Butler, with coach rapper Drake.  Another event is The Shooting Stars Challenge, where retired NBA players, current NBA players, and WNBA players compete in a shooting competition.

It will be interesting to see how the game and competitions turn out.  Whether victory to the Eastern Conference, or Western Conference, it is sure to be a slam dunk.
