Criminal Minds Review

Criminal+Minds+Review

Season 3, Episode 6, “About Face”

I started watching Criminal Minds about three months ago.  It has been one of the greatest shows I’ve ever watched.  It always keeps you on the edge of your seat.

This episode if the first one that someone has replaced the old character, Gideon.  The new character is a retired FBI agent named David Rossi.  He wants back into the game of the FBI.  I’m not sure I like what he’s bringing to the team.  He knows what he’s doing and what he’s talking about, but he’s really caught up in this case that happened years ago, which is really odd to me.  My opinion so far is that the directors should’ve kept Gideon on the show instead of David Rossi.

Agent Hotchner doesn’t think Rossi is the man for this job.  He is being reckless in the way he is trying to solve this case.  I’d have to agree with Hotchner.  But then again I think Hotchner needs to accept new ways of doing things.  They all need to work together and accept change.

Now, Rossi did help solve this case, but multiple things could have gone wrong.  He didn’t need to shoot the attacker twice.  In my opinion he was dead after the first shot.  Yes the attacker did a bad thing, but that just kind of says bad things about Rossi, because he just had to fire twice.

As I continue to hopefully finish Criminal Minds, I will see if I ever warm up to Agent Rossi, because right now he isn’t doing much for me.
