Girls golf ended their season with an 11th finish place at state.  Out of the five members of the varsity squad, three spots were taken by seniors. This means that next year will most likely be a rebuilding year.  However, the team will have a solid leadership foundation with the two returning varsity players.  Going into their district tournament, the team was seeded third, and they played well enough to come out placing second. Senior Maddie Green, who has been golfing for three years, has enjoyed her time on the golf team.

“Being apart of golf is fun to represent East and a great way to get involved in school, I have had so much fun and great opportunities arise from being apart of this team.”  Says Green

Green says one of her favorite memories of playing golf was traveling to state with the team and their coach playing country music.  

“The team bonding is something that I will really miss, and I’m thankful I got to be apart of such a great team.” Said Green.
