East, ranked seventh in Class-A, averages 61.4 ppg and shoots 47% from the field.  The Spartan trio, senior Pete Ackerman, and juniors Sam Griesel and Jordan Janssen, all average over 13 ppg.  Forwards Ackerman and Griesel have made big plays this season, giving the Spartans momentum throughout the long season.  East’s backcourt is led by senior guard Hunter Mcphail, who averages 3 apg.

Overall, the matchup between solid senior guards, McCallum and Mcphail, as well as both team’s balanced frontcourts, will make for a competitive district final.
