This week’s artist of the week is Lincoln East senior, Colin Quade. He was nominated by Ms. Dornbos for his consistent hard work and effort and for his tremendous art work.

Quade is in photography 3-4 where he has improved on many new photography skills. Quade also takes pottery where he can get more hands on with his art. Quade mainly works on his art projects at school but for bigger projects he enjoys working on them at home. Quade’s favorite piece of art he’s ever created is his table although he loves many of his photos and pottery creations as well.

When asked about his favorite type of art, Colin responded, “It’s hard to choose between pottery and photography, but if I had to choose one it would be pottery because it has a more physical aspect of being able to turn it from a block into anything you want.”

“I started doing art for the hands on aspect of it, I have always been interested in art and can’t remember a time when I wasn’t creating something,” Quade stated.

Quade hopes to continue with art in the future by trying many new types of art at home and looking for career paths around art such as 3D modeling.
