A new mental wellness center is set to open on November 2nd in the heart of downtown Lincoln. The Orchard is planning to be relatively small for the perceivable future, but it hopes to provide a new kind of support network to Lincoln, so that the people it helps may go on to live productive lives. The center’s mission is to help people recovering from mental health challenges with assistance from those who have overcome the same struggles. It’s host company is Wellbeing Initiative, a Human Service Organization committed to assisting those with mental illnesses, who was optimistic after the October 29th ribbon cutting ceremony. There is no charge to become a member at The Orchard.
