NSAA Girls State Soccer Tournament

On Wednesday, May 11th, the NSAA Girls State Soccer tournament fired up.  The final test to see which soccer teams have the best skills, defense, and team unity to take home the state championship trophy.

 

The first round match ups are (2) Lincoln Southwest vs. (7) Millard South, (6) Lincoln Southeast vs. (3) Marian, (1) Millard West vs. (8) Papillion-LaVista, and (5) Kearney vs. (4) Millard North.

 

Lincoln Southwest picked up the win against Millard South in double overtime with a beautiful free kick outside of the penalty box that went into the goal by Hannah Davis.

 

Omaha Marian beat Lincoln Southeast with a goal from Delaney Gunn with four minutes left in the first half.  Marian will be playing Lincoln Southwest in the semi-finals on Friday, May 13th.

 

Millard West took down Papillion-LaVista 3-0 with goals from Brenna Ochoa, Anna Gornell, and Leah Kirchner.

 

Millard North survives the first round with a win over Kearney.  The final score being 3-0 with goals from Bailey Cascio and two from Kenzie Harte.  Millard North will face #1 Millard West in the semi-finals on Friday, May 13th.
