Every spring East students look forward to the performance of the year: Expressions.  Expressions is a performance completely run by the students who participate in East Singers, the East choir.  Singers is East’s Varsity concert choir.

Each spring Singers put on an epic performance called Expressions where the group splits into two separate sets with about 35 people each. Throughout the school year Singers have numerous concerts here at East.  They also have the opportunity to perform with other talented schools such as Norris and even a few college choirs.  Singers is very busy learning new pieces of music all year long.

This years theme was “Record Revival” the show consisted of classic songs throughout the decades. From Smells Like Teen Spirit to Fly Me to the Moon, this show had it all. Singing, dancing, show stopping lights and fog, and we can not forget the amazing E Band who truly brought down the house.

“My favorite part of Expressions is getting to perform the show after all of our hard work.” Says junior Emily Artz. “It is very rewarding to see the show come together and be so successful in the end, also it is so much fun singing these songs that everyone knows and can jam out to.”
