On March 18, 2023 Taylor Swift kicked off her Eras tour in Glendale Arizona. Swift travels back in time to her ten different eras.

On Friday March 17, 2023 Taylor Swift began her tour in Glendale, temporarily renamed ‘Swift City’, Arizona. Swift’s opening performers for her first show were Paramore and Gayle. The setlist had 44 songs, with one from each era, and the concert lasted from 8pm to 11pm.

To begin her show, Swift opened with “Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince ” from her 2019 album “Lover” making it known that this era (or album) kicked off her performance. Another notable song Swift sang from this era is “Cruel Summer” which has never been performed in concert before.

The next era was her 2021 album “Evermore” which mildly shocked fans due to the joke of it being the “forgotten” album.

“We’re currently in the middle of the ‘Evermore’ album,” Swift said while talking to the stadium. “Which is an album I absolutely love, despite what some of you say on TikTok.”

After the “Evermore” era, Swift slithered into her “Reputation” era and performed “Don’t Blame Me” and “Delicate” among other popular songs. Swift then shocked fans by only playing one song from her 2010 album “Speak Now” in a large ball gown. Even though this performance was enchanting, some fans were slightly disappointed there was only one song from this era.

Four songs from her 2012, now 2021, album “Red” followed the “Speak Now” era. Swift performed one of her most well known songs “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)” which was a song from the vault when she recently released “Red (Taylor’s Version)”.

Following this era was her 2020 album “Folklore” which holds some of her more popular songs. Then, Swift traveled back to her first official pop album “1989” and performed 5 songs from that era.

The next two songs were “Mirrorball,” which was performed acoustic, and “Tim McGraw,” the only song performed from her first album, on the piano. These two songs were opening nights “surprise songs” because Swift said she will be changing these two songs for every concert. That way each show had something that they could call their own.

“ ‘You Are In Love,’ ‘Today Was A Fairytale,’ or ‘Long Live,’ ” Mckenna Link, a fan of Swift who is attending a show, said when asked what song she might want as a surprise song.

Ending the concert was her most recent album and era “Midnights”. Swift performed seven songs from this era to end the night on a bejeweled note. The concert’s length in total was 3 hours and 11 minutes.

While Swift isn’t performing in Nebraska, she is performing somewhat close. The closest concert to Lincoln is the July 7 and 8, 2023 show in Kansas City, Missouri. The next closest option is her July 14 and 15, 2023 Denver Colorado show, June 23 and 24, 2023 Minneapolis, Minnesota show or her June 2, 3, or , 2023 Chicago Illinois show.
