Every Thursday afternoon students congregate in a small classroom to eat lunch with their friends. Although this may not seem unlike every other day, Thursdays hold a special meaning to all those in attendance. Thursdays mark the weekly gathering of Lunch Bunch. This group of students is made up of Mrs. Bright’s fifth period class of special needs students, as well as other kids from all around East. This 35 minutes is the highlight of the week for most in attendance. Lunch Bunch acts as bridge, connecting people from all walks of life in an atmosphere fit for everyone to enjoy. This time acts as an opportunity to help strengthen communication skills as well build friendships that will last a lifetime!
