Seniors Dylan Fitzgerald and Brock Rathman have announced to further their baseball careers at Hastings College. Rathman states his reasoning for becoming a Bronco as, “small school, and a change to get away from Lincoln.” Fitzgerald will be studying business while attending Hastings College, and Rathman is still undecided. Both have looked forward to playing college ball since they were little, and have looked at other schools, including Wesleyan, Concordia, Morningside, etc., but being a Bronco was too good to pass up.

“I’m really excited to have some East kids here at Hastings, they’re good and we can’t wait to get them up here.” remarks Lincoln East Graduate, Ryan Schrad. (Class of 2014)

East baseball begins on February 23rd, and as excited as the boys are for Bronco ball, they are prepared and ready to get out on the diamond to play as Spartans for one more season. Rathman previewed the Spartan Varsity baseball season to be “mostly returning seniors with a lot of experience on varsity level.” Both Rathman and Fitzgerald agreed the end goal being “state champs baby.”
