The Lincoln East Recycling Crew has been going around East recycling all items 1-3 (plastics, cans, cardboard, newspaper, and office paper). Lincoln public schools supports the recycling of all but cans; but they cannot let the cans go to waste.

Mrs.Bright, Supervisor of the Recycling Crew, takes the cans to be exchanged for money. This year, the team has collected at least $45 from the cans alone. “The students work so hard, and show great joy in the work they do.” remarks Julie Hawkins (Para to the Recycling Crew).

This semester, The Recycling Crew has taken their earnings and are throwing a pizza-party during Lunch Bunch. Nailia Muslic states, “I’m excited to see what kind of pizza the students choose. They work so hard everyday, it’s nice to see them find happiness by spreading it to others.”

“It’s the last lunch bunch… I give happiness to lunch bunch by giving them pizza.” remarks Senior member Haley Linderman.

The pizza party will be held Thursday, May 12th in the Lunch Bunch room.
