Eco-Friendly Futures

New technology is always being created, and today a push for Eco-friendly technology is being emphasized.  A new plane tested in the Pacific had both of these qualities.

On April 23, the Solar Impulse 2 had been tested around the Pacific Ocean before landing in sunny California.  The impressive factor of the plane is that it uses no gasoline.  Yes, no gasoline, only solar power.  It looks like a normal small plane, but weighs an equivalent to a SUV.  Though it does go about the similar speed of an SUV–the only downside of the earth friendly plane.

The plane has already made its way from Abu Dhabi to China, and now California.  The goal of the creators of this plane is to get it back to Abu Dhabi, being the first to accomplish a round-the-world trip in a solar plane.  Though it is a bit tricky having to count on the sun for travel.

The goal is to be back by summer, so keep your heads to the sky.  You never know when you’ll see such a plane again.
