GO+BOLD%3A+National+Cook+Something+Bold+%26amp%3B+Pungent+Day+is+Nov+9

You never know what will be considered a national day. It feels like in the past few years we’ve been bombarded with new days commemorating foods, animals, and just about anything else you can think of. Scrolling past Facebook is where I discover most of these, and I’m sure the same could be said for the majority of people. Allow me to introduce to you the tackiest day I have found so far — National Cook Something Bold & Pungent Day. This only begs the question, “How do I cook something bold and pungent?” According to UNL Food, the best way to cook something bold and pungent is to use great flavors such as cumin, chili powder, or green chiles. This day really leaves a lot of room for creativity and imagination. There’s no set guidelines, anything you believe to be special could be whipped up to celebrate!

The following recipes would all be considered bold & pungent! If you want to make something to celebrate, these are four great recipes that would fit the bill.

Cumin-Rubbed Grilled Chicken with Chimichurri Sauce

Homemade Baba Ganoush

Slow Cooker Red Lentil Cauliflower Curry

The Best Creamy JalapeƱo Dip

Happy Cooking!
