With the first triangular of the year, the Spartans took on Southeast and Pius at Holmes Lake golf course in an effort to outplay the two squads. Number one seed Steve Strausheim lead the spartans on the 18 hole course. The weather definitely played a part in the second placing. Strong wind gusts and chilly conditions made it hard for any team to get it going. The triangular was not the best showing for any of the teams, but nonetheless, the Spartans came out in the middle of the pack. They also placed third out of fifteen in an invitational at Grand Island. The team shot well, but still room for improvement from last year as Steve put it. In the end, it was a great showing for the Spartans as they came out fighting for the top spot.

Hope still shows as Lincoln East gears up for the upcoming state tournament. Optimism and morale is sky high as they look to steal, and repeat, the state title.
