Hi my name is Luke Borgmann. Welcome to the Oracle!
“Click!” Hi, I’m Luke Borgmann, and I’d like to talk photography. I currently use a Nikon D500 with a sigma 18-300, but it’s not what I started with. The first camera I ever had was a Coolpix P530, perfect for starters.
But anyway, a little about me: I’m 15 and I’ve been taking pictures for 8 years, but I didn’t start editing and messing around with the pictures until a year ago. I’ve never played a sport, but I have come to like taking pictures of sports and many other action events. Water is one of my favorite images to capture.
Photography is not the only thing I love to do. I have many hobbies, such as working on cars, hunting, driving remote control cars, hiking, fishing, and riding my bike everywhere. If you ask me, I think I just love being outside. This year, for the Oracle, I plan on taking a lot of the pictures for the print and online editions, and I will be learning how to make and design the print edition covers, among other graphics-related tasks.
If you want me to come to an event and take pictures for Oracle use, feel free to stop me in the hall and I will try my best to make it happen. I’m always looking to grow my knowledge about photography.
I’m excited to get back in the game as part of the 2017-2018 Oracle staff. Hope to see you looking at the Oracle!
