Lincoln East Boys Golf looks to set the tone
On March 26th, the Lincoln East boys golf team competed in their annual triangular versus Pius X and Lincoln Southeast. Last year at this competition, Lincoln East fell short in the triangular in second place. In last year’s state placings, the Spartans held 7th in state under the coaching of Chad Geiger. Conor Vandewege is a returning winner of two tournaments last year but it will be difficult replacing Steven Strasheim, who placed 10th in state and was the leader of the team. Hunter Hall provides experience and leadership to the team and looks forward to guiding the team to state. This Monday, the Spartans will participate in an invitational at Eagle Hills golf course. The invitational features a surplus of Omaha schools and a handful of Lincoln schools. This invitational is scheduled for April 1st and is held in hostile territory of Papillion.
