Lincoln East Entrepreneurship Club offers a wide variety of learning opportunities for America’s future business owners as well the club promotes leadership and an inclusive environment, the meetings occur every other Thursday in room 221 from 3:00-3:45 pm. The meetings present engaging activities to help enhance the member’s entrepreneurial skills and student are also given the chance to learn from speakers and guests with significant insight and experience in entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship Club is relatively new as it started in the 2023-2024 school year. The club has continued to develop as it offers students an opportunity to learn specific aspects of owning a business. One of their primary objectives is to teach members the fundamental parts of entrepreneurship while including interactive and riveting ways to get their members involved. This includes lectures on marketing strategies for a company, learning about devising a successful blueprint for future business, and understanding how to budget funds.
“My favorite part of starting and leading this club is by far hosting activities for our wonderful members to learn more about the complex of business,” Rikhil Jasti, the president and founder of Entrepreneurship Club, said. “During one of our first meetings in August, we had a startup pitch competition where members had to create a 30-second pitch for a company. This activity has always been a crowd favorite and is always a joy to host.”
The club also allows members a great entrance into the world of business as they make connections and have conversations with current business owners who are highly educated and knowledgeable, allowing members to get an insight into their futures.
“This club will be very beneficial for my future as I hope to become a business major in college, and then follow in the business pathway for my forthcoming career,” Khang Hoang, a member of the Entrepreneurship Club, said.
This club is a fantastic addition to the culture at Lincoln East by expanding students’ horizons and nurturing them to become successful entrepreneurs in the future. Make sure to check out the Entrepreneurship Club’s Instagram @east.ec for updates on meetings and some insight into what they offer.
