If you’re looking for some new music to listen to as the season transitions from summer to fall, you’re in the right place. I have crafted this playlist which consists of 12 songs and includes mostly grunge, rock, and some goth inspired instrumentals and vocals. Artists like Fiona Apple, The Smiths, and Smashing Pumpkins encompass the vibe of autumn through their unique voices and can be heard throughout the line up. Hopefully, this playlist gets you excited for the spooky season and exposes you to some new music.

Sweet Pea Ratliff, Staff Writer

Sweet Pea Ratliff is a sophomore at East and this will be her first year on The Oracle staff. Ratliff is most excited about the writing aspect and the creative outlet that The Oracle will provide. “I love writing,” Ratliff said. “I’m excited about getting to write reviews, and maybe an opinion piece, and I’m really interested in art so maybe doing an art submission would be neat.” Ratliff’s favorite parts about East include the classes that are offered here, such as Digital Art which is her favorite, and the people here. Outside of school, she loves to listen to music, play video games, and watch Bob’s Burgers with her sister, Poppy. She is one of five kids in her family, along with five cats (Abba, Bones, Baby, Obie, and Stinky) and one dog (Prim). One fun fact about Ratliff is that she used to compete in Roller Derby.
