It’s late October, meaning all of the pumpkin flavored delicacies are making an epic comeback for the rest of the year. One treat that has been gaining quite a bit of traction on social media sites such as Tik-Tok and Instagram, is chocolate chip pumpkin bread.
When trying a new recipe and delving into the vast sea of baking, it’s always a necessity to have someone try the baked goods. Getting more than the baker’s opinion is how an audience truly knows that a recipe yields good results or not.
In order to make sure that this pumpkin bread held up, students at Lincoln East High School were asked to eat a slice of the bread and describe it.
“The pumpkin bread is an immaculate blend of chocolate,” Lily Fitzgerald said. “The pumpkin elements tied together perfectly for a quintessential fall treat.”
If you need something to truly get into the festive feeling, this treat is the perfect baked good to really get into the fall mood.
The specific recipe that was used for this was from the site called all recipes online. The ingredients are as follows:
1 Can of Pumpkin Puree
1 Cup of Chocolate Chips (Milk chocolate/Semi-sweet)
4 large Eggs
1 Cup Vegetable Oil
3 Cup of White Sugar
⅔ Cup of Water
3 ½ Cup of Flour
1 Tbsp of Cinnamon
1 Tbsp of Nutmeg
2 Tsp Baking Soda
1 ½ Tsp of Salt
You combine wet ingredients into a large mixing bowl, using an electric beater to mix. Then, slowly mix in your dry ingredients. Once fully mixed, add the batter to a 9×5 bread pan that has been lightly oiled. Insert the bread pan into the oven set at 350 degrees for 65 minutes. When the bread is fully baked, a knife should come out of the middle of the bread clean. Wait for the bread to cool and then enjoy!
