Jilliana Venema is a sophomore at East, and this is her first year on staff with The Oracle. She is passionate about theatre and enjoys both reading and writing. Jilliana is an avid learner in English and hopes to one day become an English teacher. If she could travel anywhere in the world, Jilliana would choose Italy for its beauty, history, and scenic gondola rides. She also loves going out to eat, admitting that she “yearns for the Rainforest Cafe.” When asked about her spirit animal, she chose a seagull because of her outgoing personality and love for the ocean. She looks forward to bringing her creativity, energy, and enthusiasm to The Oracle this year!
