Kayla Wischhof is a sophomore at Lincoln East, entering her first year on staff. Wischhof is heavily involved at East and the community, as she is in Key Club, Feminist Club, a swimmer for the East Swim and Dive team and Heartland Aquatics, and a part of Youth Leadership Lincoln. Her swim skills are used as a lifeguard at Eastridge Pool and Hillcrest Country Club. When Wischhof isn’t swimming, she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, watching movies, reading, or listening to music. Wischhof’s motto is, “Do everything with a purpose. You don’t have that much time to do things, so you might as well do every can.” She lives this out by making every practice, essay, and second at school count to continue to improve. This excites her for being on The Oracle staff as she is looking forward to print editions and interviewing diverse perspectives. Wischhof lives with her mom and dad, while her 18 year old sister swims at Stony Brook University in New York and studies psychology. Wischhof is excited for everything this year has to come!
