Mouse Kaufhold is a current senior at Lincoln East, and this is their second year on The Oracle. The lively environment and welcoming community that The Oracle brings are what Mouse enjoys about being on the newspaper team. Besides their love for writing and journalism, Mouse spends their leisure hours doing fiber arts—including embroidery and crochet—as well as customizing their own clothing. Mouse has three sisters, one brother, and two cats named Simba and Rory. Their favorite part of The Oracle is working on the physical print edition. “We get to take a lot of initiative,” Mouse said, emphasising the more personal take the staff members get to have on the designs.
