Zahraa Aljabiry is a sophomore at Lincoln East High School, making this her first year in the Oracle. Zahraa is very involved at East, as she is in Hosa, the sophomore representative in Key Club, as well as the vice president of ACS. This allows Zahraa to know the culture at East well. “I love how everyone comes together to understand each other, and can form a family,” Aljabiry said. Outside of school she loves to spend time with her family, write, and play sports with her friends. At home Aljabiry has 2 older brothers, both students at University of Nebraska Omaha. She spends her summers going to Iraq to visit her family, and going on a trip around the country with her family and friends. Zahraa loves to spend her time helping people, creating her goal of being a surgeon in her future. Zahraa is thrilled to be in the Oracle and is very excited to interview people, teachers, athletes so that she can look into everyone and every aspect of East’s culture.
