Ella Herzberg, Co-Editor-in-Chief

Ella Herzberg is a senior at East and this is her third year on staff. This year she will be taking on the role of Co-Editor-in-Chief along with Avari Wischhof. “I am excited to see our staff grow in writing this year!” Herzberg said. Herzberg participates in cross country, swim, and track here at East. She has one younger sister and works at Lincoln Running Company. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends, reading, and watching movies. We’re excited to have Ella on staff for the 2024-25 school year!

From 2023-2024, almost 10,000 books were banned  or challenged in US public schools worldwide. Some of these books include "Animal Farm" by George Orwell, "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger, and "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. All three of those books have been used or are being used in LPS's school curriculum.

Marena Piro competes for the Lincoln East JV Girls Golf team at Woodland Hills Golf Course on September 3, 2024. Piro placed third out of the girls on the Lincoln East JV team with a score of 50 on the front 9 holes and 54 on the back 9 holes for a total score of 104.
