East boys varsity basketball stays unbeaten, beats Links

The top ranked Lincoln East boys varsity basketball team faced off against Lincoln High on January 20 at Lincoln High School.  The Spartans started off slow, but quickly displayed why they are ranked #1, leading the Links 37-26 at halftime.  The Spartans won in blowout fashion 65-49, improving to 15-0 on the season.  The Links fell to 9-7.

East was led in scoring by senior forward Sam Griesel with 22 points.  Senior center Jordan Janssen finished with a double-double, scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds.  Senior forward Hayden Barrett added 13 points and 5 rebounds.  Lincoln High junior point guard Jaden Horton led the Links in scoring with 13.  Junior Morgan Perry III followed with 9.

The Spartans are back at home on Friday, January 26 at 7:30 against Papillion-LaVista.
