Delicious holiday treats, like these donuts from Krispy Kreme, are now back on the menu at restaurants for a limited time.

It’s that time again where fall and Christmas items get back onto the menu for a limited time. I went around town trying a bunch of Christmas items off the menus of popular restaurants.
My first stop was Starbucks. I tried the peppermint mocha frappuccino and it was so delicious. It tasted like frozen hot chocolate! They put whip cream and chocolate shavings on top. If you don’t like caffeine you can always get it decaf! I would highly recommend trying this holiday treat. I also talked to a senior at East High Joshua Harris about his favorite things to order off of the holiday menu at Starbucks. “My favorite Christmas drink is the eggnog latte,” Harris said. “I would highly recommend it.”
I then headed over to Chick-fil-a to try their seasonal peppermint shake and let me tell you it did not disappoint! It was so delicious. They even put a cherry on top! If you are a fan of peppermint I would recommend you stop by the nearest Chick-fil-a and pick yourself up a peppermint shake!
Next stop was Scooters. I tried their sugar cookie blender and their peppermint mocha blender and they were both delicious. The sugar cookie blender had whip cream with red and green sprinkles on top. The peppermint mocha blender had whip cream and chocolate shavings on top. If you are not a coffee drinker then you can always get these delicious treats decaf. I would highly recommend stopping by and picking up one of these delicious treats. I talked to a staff member of Scooters, Savannah Veomet, about the holiday menu and which holiday drink is the most popular. “When the holiday menu goes up those drinks get ordered the most too,” Veomet said. “Sugar Cookie latte gets ordered the most off of the holiday menu.”
I also stopped at Dunkin Donuts and I had their Gingerbread signature latte and it tasted just like a gingerbread cookie. It was so yummy! You can get this drink hot, iced, or blended, as well as caffeinated, or decaf. So if you like gingerbread, it’s definitely worth a try!
I made sure to stop at my favorite local coffee shop The Mill. My favorite drink is the peppermint granita. A granita is a coffee slushie with your choice of flavored syrup. There are loads of flavored syrups to choose from but my favorite syrup flavor is peppermint. It is available all year round but drinking it in December makes the holidays a bit more magical. I would highly recommend stopping by to try a peppermint granita.
My last stop was at Krispy Kreme and I tried all of their Christmas doughnuts. They have a festive tree, a Santa Belly, and a present donut. All three of them are filled doughnuts. Santa belly has a chocolate cream filling. Present has a sugar cookie cream filling. Festive tree is filled with red velvet cake batter. All three of them were very delicious! My favorite out of the three would be the festive tree donut.
I would highly recommend you stop by one or more of these restaurants to try all of the delicious holiday treats they have to offer – you won’t be disappointed.
