“The Last of Us” show is a hit sensation

The TV show “The Last of Us” was released earlier this year. Many fans loved season one and are excited for what’s to come.

“The Last of Us” show has become popular amongst many audiences. The show was initially released earlier on January 15, 2023. But it became available on March 10, 2023, on Hulu. “The Last of Us” is under the genres of horror, dystopian apocalypse, and sci-fi and can be streamed

At its origin, “The Last of Us” was originally a video game that was released on June 14, 2013. In July 2014, the video game was remastered to accommodate for the release of the PlayStation 4. “The Last of Us” part 2, was then released in 2020. Part 1 of the video game was then remade again in September 2022.

The storyline of the game and show is showing what happens after there is an outbreak of a mutant Cordyceps fungus that transforms human hosts into very aggressive creatures that are known as the “infected.”

Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann are the series creators of the show. The first season has 9 episodes and covers the whole storyline of part 1. Mazin and Druckmann followed the storyline of the video game very closely and got actors that looked closely at the characters.

For example, actors, Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal were chosen to play the characters Ellie and Joel. Even though they aren’t a replica of the video game characters, they closely resemble as much as they can and give off the energy of the characters.

“She has the essence of Ellie,” Ashley Johnson, the actor that played Ellie in the video games, said. “I instantly felt a connection with her because we both care so much about this character.”

During the show, instead of Johnson playing the part of Ellie, she played the role of Ellie’s mom. When she was offered the role of Ellie’s mom, she was in shock because usually the voice actors or motion capture actors aren’t involved in the transition from video game to movie or tv.

Fans are wondering when the next season of The “Last of Us” will come out and the people who have played part 2 of the video game already have an idea of what is ahead.

“I would totally recommend this show to someone else,” a watcher of the show said. “Overall, I would definitely give this show a 9/10.”
