Redbull has come out with their long awaited winter edition flavor Fuji apple and ginger. There are countless mixed reviews but someone is here to set it straight.
Redbull has been my number one drink of choice for years; every holiday I receive them as gifts, almost everyday I’m cracking one open, and I am always thinking about my beloved beverage. I have an article linked below of my redbull flavor ranking but since then, there have been new releases to update the list like the newest winter and summer edition.
My first impression of the winter edition is the can. The gradient of red into yellow on the can is very aesthetically pleasing and gives the fall/winter feeling. Accompanying the themed can, the flavor itself makes me get into the holiday spirit more than ever. The carbonated apple flavor and addition of ginger reminds me of an apple cider and is the perfect winter release. What irks me about reviews is that some people will try something knowing they don’t like the flavor that it’s trying to emulate and give it a bad review. If you don’t like ginger, you probably won’t like the ginger redbull and I think that’s why there are so many mixed reviews. If you like fall flavors you will enjoy this one. It also has the prettiest can, which is a plus.
My previous top three flavors last year were peach nectarine at number one (discontinued), tropical at number two, and finally, coconut berry. The order has definitely shifted since the newer flavor drops.
Number three has to be the Curuba elderflower, or green edition. The flavor is described as tropical and floral but to me personally, it reminds me of green apple. Regardless of the name, this Redbull is perfect for someone who doesn’t like their drinks too sweet. It’s balanced and doesn’t have that chemical taste that other energy drinks can have.
Number two is the newest release, fuji apple and ginger. Like previously stated, this is the most interesting can and a great flavor to pair with fall.
The updated number one Redbull flavor for me is no shocker. The hottest of hot pink cans, the summer edition peach flavor is the best flavor on the market. With the tragically sudden removal of the peach nectarine–arguably the best flavor of all time–this summer release was a dream come true. The taste is very bright and refreshing cold or room temp, and it’s not overbearing with the sweetness. With the can being pink and the flavor being essentially the same as my previous favorite, this Redbull is the best option hands down.
Peach, Fuji apple, and Curuba elderflower are my personal favorites of the best energy drinks available. The next time you pick out a beverage, think about grabbing any of these top three and you’ll be satisfied.
