The Price is Right LIVE stops in Lincoln on tour

The Price is Right LIVE came to Lincoln, NE on March 21, 2024, as the second stop on their east coast tour. Several contestants’ were randomly selected to come play their games!

“COME ON DOWN! You’re the next contestant on ‘The Price is Right!’”

From March 20, 2024, until May 2, 2024, “The Price is Right LIVE,” based on the popular recorded show, is making its way around the Midwest, East Coast, and parts of Canada. . On March 21, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., the second stop of the tour was in Lincoln, Nebraska. Thousands gathered at the sold out Lied Center for Performing Arts, and a handful of contestant’s names were randomly selected to participate in the live show.

Gini Russell, an avid “The Price is Right” watcher, was present at the show with the hopes to be randomly called, but also to see her favorite show live.

“‘The Price is Right’ is an iconic game show that has been on TV since my childhood,” Russell said. “It was super fun to be able to actually be in the audience having a chance to have my name called.”

Kris Brenneis, who also remembers watching the show growing up, was excited to see her favorite game, “Cliffhangers,” within “The Price is Right” at the live show.

“I loved seeing and hearing the big wheel in person,” Brenneis said. “It was also great to see yodeler (Cliffhanger) since I reference it all the time.”

Ultimately, the two contestants who made it on to the showcase round did not win the grand prizes of a brand new car, movie theater sound system, a trip to Rome, and a trip to Las Vegas, because they both bid over the actual price of around $25,000. “The Price is Right LIVE” will wrap up their tour in The Villages, Florida on May 2, 2024.

When she's not in school or reporting on the latest East sporting event, she loves watching sports, especially baseball, and Husker football and volleyball. She also works at Eastmont Retirement Home as a server. She has a twin brother named Paul, and two Italian greyhounds: Sam and Iris at home. It might be her last year at East, but “I’m a Spart till I die,” Hope says.
